What may be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan?

Answer

In general, most book and photocopies of journal articles, as well as DVDs, CDs, and microforms, can be obtained through Interlibrary Loan. However, Brown University cannot place Interlibrary Loan requests for materials to be used for course reserves, class, or other group use.

Moreover, the following kinds of materials are NOT ordinarily obtainable from other libraries. See a subject librarian for help in determining what your options are:

Complete issues of unbound periodicals.

Complete volumes of bound periodicals.

Reference books or rare books.

Ebooks.
