I'm a Brown University Health employee: what access do I have to your resources or entry to one of the Brown libraries?
Answer
An academic/clinical department can request a sponsored ID for non-Brown staff who are supporting Brown faculty in their research, teaching, or clinical practice. The sponsored ID gives the holder access to online collections through Brown (library access has to be requested on the form). Sponsored ID holders are not eligible for BorrowDirect/ILLiad privileges. Sponsored IDs may be requested by a designated departmental rep — usually the department chair or an administrator, or possibly a division head.
A Lifespan (or eventual Brown University Health) ID will provide access to the Peters Library at Rhode Island Hospital (in the Aldrich building), which is open 24/7. If you have any questions, you can reach them at LLibrary@lifespan.org.
