What is the oldest book in the John Hay Library?

Answer

The John Hay Library has early manuscripts in book form from the Annmary Brown Memorial Collection.  The collection comprises over 500 codices from the 15th century.

However, the oldest objects in the Library are cuneiform tablets.  The 27 tablets are over 4,000 years old.

The Library also has scrolls in the form of fragments from the Egyptian Book of the Dead, dating from 1295 BCE to 200 BCE.
