Can visitors from another institution use the Brown Library?

The Rockefeller, Sciences, and Orwig Libraries are open without an appointment only to current Brown and RISD faculty, staff, and students. An institutional ID is required.
If you are a member of one of our consortial partners listed below, you must make an appointment and request access to the Brown University Library:
Faculty and staff from CRIARL institutions.
Faculty, staff and students from BorrowDirect institutions
Faculty, staff and students from SHARES member institutions.
Current members of the RI Medical Society.
