Are the libraries physically accessible?
Answer
Yes, all of the Brown Libraries are physically accessible with the following exceptions:
Orwig Music Library is accessible on its first floor. For the basement level, staff will retrieve items for patrons with mobility concerns.
The John Hay Library has an elevator that will take you to the third floor. There is also an accessible side entrance at ground level (on the north side of the building)
In addition, the Rockefeller Library has a Disability Study Space for neurodiverse students, located on A-level. Information about the space may be found in this Brown Daily Herald article. If you wish to use this space, please inquire at the Rock Circulation desk or contact disabilityjusticeatbrown@gmail.com.
